According to information from the People's Committee of Chieng Lao commune, at around 5:00 p.m. on August 6, a landslide occurred on National Highway 279D through Ta Sai village (Chieng Lao commune, Son La province), causing local traffic congestion.
The estimated volume of landslides is about 200m3. Fortunately, the incident did not cause any damage to people or vehicles.
Immediately after the incident, Son La Traffic Management and Construction Joint Stock Company urgently mobilized forces and machinery to clean up and repair the scene.
At around 6:30 p.m. the same day, motorbikes were able to temporarily travel through the landslide area. The road is expected to be completely cleared by around 8pm.
Currently, the construction unit has put up warning signs and arranged forces to be on duty to ensure safety.
However, this area still has the potential risk of rolling rocks, causing danger to people and vehicles.
