Ms. Kieu Nha Phuong (residing in Ward 11, Da Lat City, Lam Dong) shared that pine mushrooms are known as a gift of nature, the lure of heaven.
Ms. Phuong said: "Da Lat enters the rainy season when I and my relatives and friends go into the forest to pick mushrooms. Da Lat pine mushrooms are colorful and have a unique delicious flavor. This mushroom is used to cook hotpot, stir-fry, and congee stews.

Mushrooms grow in clusters under pine canopy in Da Lat and the pine hill area in Lac Duong district (Lam Dong).
They grow strongly after 2-3 consecutive rainy days, each type of mushroom is distributed in different terrains.
People name each type of mushroom based on their shape. For example, chicken egg mushrooms (yellow, egg-shaped), cow liver mushrooms (same as cow liver in color and shape), coral mushrooms (same as coral cluster) ...
Ms. Phuong shared that chicken egg mushrooms are often distributed under forest canopy with many rotten, moist leaves.
Mushrooms (shaped like bullets) often appear in forest canopy with barren land and few pine leaves. Beef liver mushrooms often grow next to ditches, hillsides...

"Every time we go into the forest, we usually pick 3-5kg. One lucky day we encountered a " mushroom bud", we collected 20-30kg", Ms. Phuong said.
After collecting a lot of delicious mushrooms, Ms. Phuong sells them to people in need.
Mr. Nguyen Huy Hoang (34 years old, residing in Ward 8, Da Lat City) said that pine mushrooms are best when the plants have just grown on the ground and have not yet bloomed. Therefore, the ideal time to pick mushrooms is usually from 6am to 8am every day.
Mr. Nguyen Van Ba (58 years old, residing in Ward 3, Da Lat City) shared that after rainy days, pine mushrooms have developed strongly. Among them, there are types that can be eaten and types that contain poisoning substances, so mushroom picking requires experience and understanding.
According to Mr. Ba: "The chicken egg mushrooms in the pine forest have a beautiful shape and delicious flavor. However, another type of mushroom is similar to the chicken egg mushroom, with an orange powder layer on the mushroom hat, which is a poison mushroom. People without experience in picking and processing will easily be poisoned".

Dr. V enterprises, Dr. Truong Binh Nguyen - Faculty of Biology, Da Lat University - said that during the rainy season, pine mushrooms in Da Lat grow strongly. Mushrooms are usually divided into clusters.
Some types of mushrooms have delicious flavors and eye-catching colors, so they attract people and tourists to the forest to pick and use.
However, Dr. Truong Binh Nguyen recommends that there are nearly 300 types under the Da Lat pine canopy. Many types of toxic and non-toxic fungi have similar shapes. Therefore, people who pick wild mushrooms need to have knowledge and experience to ensure safety.
In particular, do not feel free to taste unverified mushrooms, do not touch venom mushrooms or foreign mushrooms to avoid affecting your health.
