After Lao Dong Newspaper's report on anemia in Quang Binh, more than 3,500 units of blood were supplemented.
On March 24, speaking with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Phan Van Cau - Chairman of the Quang Binh Provincial Red Cross Society - said that since the beginning of the year, more than 3,500 units of blood have been donated to supplement the province's blood bank.
More than 3,500 units of blood are equivalent to 9 attacks. Compared to the same period last year, this figure increased by about 20%. The unit is also maintaining a fixed blood donation point.
In 2025, the whole province was assigned a target of 12,900 units of blood, and units continue to implement.
In the coming time, the Provincial Red Cross Society will strengthen blood donation clubs to promptly mobilize those who are willing to donate blood directly to emergency patients.
Mobile blood donation campaigns will be deployed in many localities according to assigned targets. These blood donations will be organized flexibly, with effective methods of mobilization to attract the participation of a large number of people.
The Quang Binh Provincial Red Cross Society will continue to promote and mobilize blood donation to become a regular activity, instead of just a temporary activity.
In addition to the youth and student force, organizations such as the police, army, and trade unions of agencies and enterprises will also be encouraged to participate in blood donation. Expanding this target helps ensure a more abundant and stable blood supply.
