While many people were preparing to watch the preliminary parade and parade tonight, August 27, many students wearing volunteer shirts contributed with simple tasks: giving water, giving free food and supporting people along the streets.

From a very early age, Nguyen Thi Thu Huyen, a second-year student at Hanoi Medical College, was present at the gathering point on Phan Dinh Phung Street (Hanoi). Huyen said that she woke up at 5am, prepared her uniform, student card and brought an excited spirit for the volunteer session.
"I am excited and looking forward to participating in distributing free food and drinks to people who come to see the preliminary review of the A80 parade. This is the first time I have had such a special experience - Huyen shared.
As for Cu Thi Nhu Quynh, a 2nd year student, instead of returning to her hometown for a holiday like many of her classmates, she decided to stay in Hanoi, contributing to the holidays through volunteer activities. This is also the first time Quynh has celebrated the National Day away from home.
"I chose to volunteer because I wanted to contribute a small part, joining in the proud atmosphere of the big holiday. Staying in Hanoi this time helps me feel more clearly the spirit of turning towards the Fatherland" - Quynh said.
According to Quynh, staying in the capital, accompanying and serving the people will be an unforgettable experience in the life of a student.

In addition to Huyen and Quynh, Nguyen Thi Ha Phuong - a 3rd year student studying in Hanoi - also enthusiastically registered to volunteer. Phuong shared that she is always worried about everyone's safety and health when participating in crowded events, so she wants to contribute a small part to support.
Notably, Phuong's father is a medical worker, and these days he is also present at Ba Dinh Square to participate in emergency support work. "Seeing my father directly serving, I have more motivation to accompany and contribute a small part to the big national holiday" - Ha Phuong shared.
Phuong added that he and other students will volunteer throughout the preliminary and final inspections of the parade and parade until National Day on September 2.
