On September 4, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department (PC07) of Quang Tri Provincial Police said that the unit coordinated with local people to successfully rescue driver Le Thanh Hong (born in 1976, residing in Hai Chau Ward, Da Nang) trapped in the truck cabin after a traffic accident at Km 749+200, National Highway 1 through Gio Linh Commune (Quang Tri Province).
Previously, at around 4:30 a.m. the same day, PC07 received a report from the Traffic Police Department about the accident. Immediately afterwards, the Fire Fighting and Rescue Team of Area 1 mobilized specialized vehicles and 15 officers and soldiers to the scene.
At the scene, the front of the truck was severely deformed, the driver was injured and panicked, unable to escape on his own. The authorities quickly used a cabin cutting device, after about 20 minutes, the victim was successfully rescued and taken to a medical facility for emergency treatment.
The cause of the incident is being investigated and clarified by the authorities.
