Facilitating the children of cadres and civil servants to transfer schools

THANH TUẤN |

Gia Lai and Kon Tum are making a list of the number of children of officials and civil servants who need to transfer schools closer to the administrative center of the new province.

Along with the merger of State administrative agencies, units and organizations in the political system, the Departments of Education and Training of Gia Lai and Kon Tum provinces are coordinating to make a list of children of cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers who need to transfer schools to Quy Nhon city (Binh Dinh province) and Quang Ngai city (Quang Ngai province).

Regarding this issue, the Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee has assigned the Provincial People's Committee to direct the Department of Education and Training to develop a plan to arrange facilities, schools, and instructions on transfer and enrollment procedures, creating the most favorable conditions for the children of cadres and civil servants from Kon Tum province to transfer.

The People's Committee of Quang Ngai province is also studying the establishment of a permanent department as a unit providing information on housing and rental houses in the area, to support cadres, civil servants and workers to stabilize their housing when returning to work after the merger.

According to statistics, after the merger, about 1,163 cadres from Kon Tum will move to Quang Ngai to work. Arranging stable accommodation and schools for children is an important factor to help cadres and civil servants feel secure in their work.

In Gia Lai, according to the plan, about 2,000 cadres, civil servants and public employees will move to Quy Nhon to work at State administrative agencies.

In the first survey, the Department of Education and Training collected data from 32 provincial-level agencies, recording 534 students who wanted to transfer schools.

The Department will continue to conduct a second survey to fully summarize the needs, thereby developing a suitable learning arrangement plan for students.

Gia Lai province has also proposed supporting travel, accommodation and living expenses for cadres and civil servants within the first 3 years after the merger.

After this time, Gia Lai province will consider providing additional support depending on the ability to balance the budget.
