On June 1, the Department of Education and Training of Gia Lai province sent an official dispatch to agencies and units in the area on the statistics on the need to transfer schools for children of cadres, civil servants and public employees in the 2025-2026 school year.
This is a step to prepare for the plan to merge Gia Lai and Binh Dinh provinces, with the new administrative center located in Quy Nhon city.
According to the plan, about 2,000 cadres, civil servants and public employees of Gia Lai province will move to Quy Nhon to work in state administrative agencies.
In the first survey, the Department of Education and Training collected data from 32 provincial agencies, recording the need to transfer schools for a total of 534 students, including: 110 preschool children, 205 primary school students, 164 secondary school students and 55 high school students.
The Department will continue to conduct a second survey to fully summarize the needs, thereby developing a suitable learning arrangement plan for students.
At the same time, the authorities are studying and proposing policies to support travel, living and accommodation costs for cadres traveling for work.
In addition, Gia Lai province requires a thorough review of the facilities at the new administrative center to ensure that it meets the working and living needs of the transferred staff.
Essential public services such as education, healthcare, electricity, water, environmental sanitation and social security also need to be guaranteed to operate stably and without interruption during the transition process.
