According to reporters of Lao Dong Newspaper, on February 14 (the first day of the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year holiday 2026), Xo Viet Nghe Tinh street (belonging to Thanh Sen ward) was busier than in previous days.
“From morning until now, I have sold about a few dozen kumquat trees. This is the day that many people come to buy the most. I think maybe because today is the first day of the Tet holiday, many people have time to go shopping” - Mr. Nguyen Quang Long (40 years old) selling ornamental flowers shared.
Also according to Mr. Long, his ornamental kumquat products are diverse, with prices mainly from 1 million - 3 million VND/tree.
At many points selling apricot blossoms, peach blossoms, orchids... on this street, there is also a bustling scene of buying and selling, making the streets bustling and vibrant.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Lan (32 years old, residing in Thanh Sen ward) who just bought a apricot tree for 2 million VND shared: "In previous days, my family was busy with work, so we didn't have time to go shopping for ornamental plants and flowers to display for Tet. Today is the first day of Tet holiday, so I took the opportunity to buy them so I can take care of cleaning the house to welcome Tet.
Surely many people present on this flower street are also officials, civil servants, and public employees, so on the first day off of the Tet holiday, they have time to admire and shop.
