In favorable weather conditions, the entire construction force of the Dong Dang - Tra Linh expressway is speeding up construction. This is a national strategic transport project passing through Lang Son and Cao Bang provinces, with a total length of 121km, divided into two investment phases.
Phase 1, over 93km long with a roadbed scale of 17m, is being vigorously implemented, aiming to open the technical route by the end of 2025, shortening the construction time from 36 months to 24 months according to the Government's direction.

Currently, contractors have mobilized more than 3,000 workers, nearly 1,300 machines and equipment and organized construction at all points at 71 points on all items including roadbed, bridge, culvert, tunnel through the mountain and auxiliary stations.
In particular, 568 Construction Investment Group Joint Stock Company - the main contractor in charge of the construction of more than 55 km and 22 bridges - has deployed 52 construction teams simultaneously with nearly 1,400 human resources and nearly 600 equipment, working day and night, including holidays and Tet.
Recorded on May 8, at the section Km56+00 to Km61+910 in Duc Xuan commune (Thach An district), the road surface is gradually taking shape, many sections have completed the second crushed stone layer and will complete the entire road foundation in May.

Another construction point at Km79+250 has a Bang Giang River overpass - one of the most difficult points due to harsh terrain and complex access routes - which is also being urgently deployed.
Deo Ca Group has opened a service road of more than 6km long on each side to approach the construction site, and divided it into two ends for construction from both ends, aiming to complete the pillars in the middle of the river before the flood season.
The construction of temporary bridges here also needs to be completed before May 15 to serve the transportation of more than 700,000m3 of soil and rock for the following sections, many packages in the project are reaching and exceeding the set plan.

Up to now, the entire route has completed nearly 26% of the total project contract value, equivalent to more than VND 2,579 billion.
Regarding site clearance, the two provinces of Lang Son and Cao Bang have proactively directed and handed over 99% of the route length in phase 1. In Quang Hoa district, Cao Bang province alone, where there are many important construction sites such as the Bang Giang river overpass, the site clearance work has reached over 90%, and 81/86 households have been relocated.
On May 7, Chairman of Cao Bang Provincial People's Committee Hoang Xuan Anh and the working delegation directly inspected the scene, urged progress and worked with the people to resolve the remaining problems.
He requested authorities at all levels to urgently pay compensation and promptly complete the handover of additional areas; at the same time, he requested contractors to increase machinery and human resources, focusing on construction of difficult points before the rainy season.
To ensure progress, the investor of the project "Deo Ca Group" has worked with traffic colleges to supplement human resources to drive machines and operate equipment. The goal is to open the entire route to technical traffic with the first layer of asphalt concrete by the end of 2025.
Currently, the enterprise is completely proactive in terms of finance and personnel. Phase 2 of the project (including the expansion of the current route and the construction of a new 27.7 km connection to Tra Linh border gate) is also being prepared, expected to start construction on September 2.
When completed, the expressway will not only create a breakthrough in transport infrastructure in the Northeast region but also contribute to the goal of completing 3,000 km of expressway nationwide by the end of this year, exceeding the set plan by about 10%.
