The People's Committee of Da Nang City has just issued Decision No. 1228/QD-UBND, declaring a natural disaster emergency for the landslide on the Kon River bank in Tan An village, Thuong Duc commune.
The affected area is located at the confluence between the Kon River and the Vu Gia River - where there is strong flow and weak geological foundation. Recently, consecutive heavy rains, especially the flood caused by storm No. 1 (total rainfall recorded at Dai Son station from 11-13/6/2025 was 530.2mm) have caused the Kon River bank to be seriously eroded, threatening the existing embankment system.

The landslide phenomenon is directly threatening the safety of 24 households in groups 5, 6, Tan An village and group 5, Tan Ha village. The risk of losing land, damaging houses and architectural works, along with affecting people's lives is very high.
The City People's Committee assigned the Chairman of the People's Committee of Thuong Duc Commune - Head of the Command Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense of the Commune - to continue to immediately deploy emergency response measures.
Key tasks include: Closely monitoring landslides and weather; Proactively mobilizing forces and means to evacuate people from dangerous areas; Arrange temporary accommodation, ensure logistics, provide food, necessities, clean water and medical support to people.
In addition, proactively put up warning signs, isolate dangerous areas, organize guards to ensure safety; Strengthen information and propaganda for people to proactively prevent.
