Specifically, on National Highway 15, there were 10 landslides with a volume of about 4,100m3; on National Highway 15C, there were landslides at 140 locations with a volume of about 46,481m3; on National Highway 16, there were 9 landslides; on National Highway 217, there were 16 landslides; on National Highway 47, there were 7 landslides...
In addition to national highways, floods also flooded 19 locations on provincial roads such as: 518, 518B, 519, 520B, 521B, 522, 523, 523B, 523D... causing traffic jams.
According to the leader of the Department of Transport of Thanh Hoa province, the department is currently coordinating with related departments and branches to conduct field inspections at some seriously eroded points, thereby reporting to the Provincial People's Committee to have a plan and arrange funding to handle these eroded points.
In addition, we are continuing to mobilize maximum forces and means to handle landslides and traffic diversions at landslide and damaged locations on national and provincial highways.
"Due to the large number of landslides and the large amount of work, it is expected to take some time to basically fix the landslides," said a representative of the Thanh Hoa Province Department of Transport.
