Thanh Hoa voters requested the Ministry of Transport to promptly submit to the Government the project to upgrade the Ho Chi Minh road section through Thanh Hoa province; support funding to repair and upgrade the National Highway 47C section at km6, one side is residential, the other side is Nhom River, which has been eroded by water for more than 100m into the roadbed in Nong Cong district. Request to speed up the progress of the coastal road project through Thanh Hoa province.
Regarding the above petition of voters, the Ministry of Transport responded as follows:
Regarding investment in upgrading Ho Chi Minh road section through Thanh Hoa province, according to the road network planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050, the 130km long Ho Chi Minh road section through Thanh Hoa province is planned to become the North - South expressway in the West with a scale of 4 lanes, with investment progress after 2030.
The current status is a grade III mountainous road with 2 lanes. The Ministry of Transport has noted the voters' recommendations.
In the coming time, based on transportation needs, the ability to balance resources and capital allocation principles according to regulations, the Ministry of Transport will direct relevant units to study and prepare investment as a basis for reporting to competent authorities for consideration and decision.
Regarding funding support for repairing and upgrading National Highway 47C: Up to now, the project to repair the negative slope on National Highway 47C, sections along the Nhom River with an estimated cost of 12.3 billion VND, has been included in the 2025 maintenance plan by the Ministry of Transport for implementation.
Regarding the progress of the coastal road project: The coastal road is under the investment management authority of Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee.
Currently, Thanh Hoa province has completed investment in about 30.5km, and is implementing investment in the remaining 65.7km sections, expected to be completed in 2025.
Propose that Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee direct the investor to strictly control the progress, ensure the project is completed on schedule and notify voters about the investment progress.
