Sudden inspection of a pig farm in Ha Tinh

TRẦN TUẤN |

Ha Tinh - The Provincial People's Committee has just assigned the Provincial Inspectorate to preside over and coordinate with relevant units to conduct a surprise inspection of a synthetic agricultural farm in Viet Tien commune.

The synthetic agricultural farm in Viet Tien commune (Thach Ha district) with an area of 14.3 hectares was approved for investment in 2015, owned by Mr. Pham Thanh Hai (residing in Ha Tinh city).

In the afternoon of 4.6, a leader of Thach Ha District People's Committee said that the content of the inspection of general agricultural production farms in Viet Tien commune was an inspection of the process of approving the investment policy in 2015 and adjusting the planning in 2021 rather than inspections on compensation and site clearance affected by the North -South Expressway Project.

As Lao Dong reported, in 2024, when implementing the North - South Expressway Project in the 2021 - 2025 period, local authorities will face many difficulties and problems in reclaiming and compensating part of the area of the general agricultural farm in Viet Tien commune of Mr. Pham Thanh Hai.

At the time of the counting for compensation, this farm was raising 668 pigs, while the approved scale was 150 pigs/year.

After many times of propaganda, mobilization, and explanation, in mid-May 2024, the farm owner agreed, so the Thach Ha District Compensation Council paid more than 14 billion VND to compensate Mr. Pham Thanh Hai's household after reclaiming 2 hectares of land including livestock barn, trees, and crops in the farm.

With the remaining area of more than 12 hectares of the farm not recovered, the farm owner continues to use it.
