At noon on May 26, according to news from Ha Tinh Port Authority, the crew members on Cong Thanh 07 were found and rescued by rescue forces.
Mr. Nguyen Duc Tung - Director of Ha Tinh Maritime Port Authority confirmed the above information to Lao Dong Newspaper reporters.
Mr. Tung affirmed that the Cong Thanh 07 ship had all 10 crew members before the accident, not 11 crew members as initially reported.
As reported by Lao Dong Newspaper, the Cong Thanh 07 ship carrying 4,900 tons of coal from Quang Ninh to Quang Binh sank on the evening of May 25 at a location about 9 nautical miles from Vung Ang port. Initial information shows that at the time of the accident, there were 11 crew members on board.
