On September 17, Road Management Area II (Vietnam Road Administration) said that after the interdisciplinary team including Road Management Area II, Ha Tinh Provincial Economic Zone Investment and Construction Project Management Board, Traffic Police Department, Provincial Traffic Safety Committee, Department of Construction, and Vung Ang Ward authorities conducted a field inspection, they agreed to adjust the hard median strip arranged at the intersection at Km 577+241 National Highway 1, Vung Ang Ward.
Accordingly, on the evening of September 16, 2 hard median strips placed on National Highway 1 at the intersection of this intersection were removed, and the lane median line will be adjusted to be reasonable, with additional lighting and speed limiting signs installed to facilitate the movement of vehicles.

Previously, at around 11pm on September 10, a passenger car traveling from South to North crashed straight into a hard median strip at the intersection connecting the branch road to Km577+241 National Highway 1 in Vung Ang Ward. The incident fortunately did not cause any human casualties but caused severe damage to the vehicle.
The intersection project connecting the branch road to Km577+241 National Highway 1 in Vung Ang ward is invested by the Project Management Board (PMU) of Ha Tinh Economic Zone with the scale of an intersection of the same level, intersection type (with the renovation of the existing intersection on the left side of the route), arranging a speed lane, a waiting lane to turn left.
The Provincial Economic Zone Investment and Construction Project Management Board explained that the installation of two separate hard median strips is to create a waiting lane for vehicles to turn left. The project has been appraised and granted a construction permit by Road Management Area II (Vietnam Road Administration).
However, after completion, through actual use, and realizing that there were many unlicensed and potential accidents, the authorities inspected, agreed and dismantled the two sharp median strips at this intersection.
