Construction throughout the holiday, Southern Power industry completes 51 110kV projects on the occasion of April 30

In the last 2 days of April 2026, Southern Power Corporation (EVNSPC) and related units made efforts to energize 4 more 110kV projects, officially completing the goal of energizing 51 projects in the first 4 months of the year, practically celebrating the 51st anniversary of the Complete Liberation of the South, national reunification and the 51st anniversary of the establishment of EVNSPC.

Decisively directing and constructing throughout the holiday

Mr. Bui Quoc Hoan - Deputy General Director of EVNSPC - said that right from the beginning of the year, the EVNSPC Party Committee issued Resolution No. 46-NQ/DU dated January 5, 2026 on focusing on comprehensively completing investment and construction work in 2026. In which, the Party Committee and the EVNSPC leadership collective determined that the goal of completing energizing and safely operating investment and construction projects reached and exceeded the progress.

To achieve the goal, EVNSPC has focused all resources on construction investment, considering this as a key task in operation. From the Chairman of the Member Council, General Director, to members of the Member Council, Deputy General Directors all work with a spirit of no days off; regularly present at the construction site on weekends and holidays to inspect and urge progress, promptly remove difficulties and obstacles.

Solutions are implemented flexibly, synchronously and drastically; proactively coordinate with local authorities and relevant departments and branches to update planning, remove obstacles in site clearance; tighten management of the entire project life cycle, from contractor selection, contract management, quality control to finalization. EVNSPC also focuses on diversifying capital sources, optimizing investment costs, promoting technology application and digital transformation in management," Mr. Bui Quoc Hoan added.

While most people across the country enjoy consecutive holidays from the Hung Kings Commemoration Day holiday, followed by the April 30 - May 1 holiday, on the construction site of many power projects invested by EVNSPC, leaders at all levels, thousands of officials, engineers, and workers are still diligently clinging to the construction site.

Standing side by side with workers, throughout the 4 holidays, working groups of EVNSPC leaders and member units, power companies were directly present at 100% of construction sites under construction. At units, from the General Corporation level to each member unit, they maintained a "no-day off" working regime. EVNSPC leaders also issued regulations: Do not grant leave for personal matters to officials working in construction investment during peak periods, except in special cases.

Proactively "going one step ahead

With the drastic involvement of the entire apparatus, on the construction sites, the spirit of enthusiastic labor is spread, everyone is aiming for the highest goal of completing projects on schedule. To date, 51 projects have been completed on schedule and exceeded the schedule.

Many important and urgent power projects have been put into operation, promptly meeting the demand for load growth in many southern provinces such as: Tan Tru 110kV substation and 110kV connection line; Tan Thanh 110kV substation (Tay Ninh); Lai Son 110kV substation (An Giang); Renovation and increased cross-section of the 110kV Cao Lanh - Tran Quoc Toan line (Dong Thap); Tan Thanh 110kV line - Ham Tan 220kV substation (Lam Dong); Phu Thuan - Binh Dai 110kV line (Vinh Long); Increased capacity of Giang Dien 110kV substation (Dong Nai)...

Ms. Vo Phuong Thuy - Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Dong Thap province - said that in the context that the locality is promoting investment attraction for industrial development, high-tech agriculture and urbanization, EVNSPC's interest in investing in synchronous electricity infrastructure has created an important foundation for socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security and improving the quality of people's lives.

As for Tay Ninh province - a locality with high load growth in the first 4 months of the year, a series of key projects have been put into operation. Mr. Tran Thanh Toan - Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Tay Ninh province - said: "In the process of implementing projects, Southern Power Company and Tay Ninh Power Company are very proactive in coordinating with local departments and agencies in completing dossier procedures, investment policies, route agreements... Up to this point, limitations and obstacles have been almost completely overcome. Electricity projects according to the plan are implemented to ensure progress.
