Celebrating Tet in key national projects
On the last day of the year, while everyone is busy preparing to welcome the New Year and gather around the family dinner table, at the construction site of the Quang Ngai - Hoai Nhon expressway project, hundreds of engineers and workers are still working hard.
Mr. Nguyen Duc Hoang - Site Technical Officer of Tunnel 3, Quang Ngai - Hoai Nhon project, shared: "This year is the first time I celebrate Tet at the construction site. After work, we wrap banh chung together and cook to create a Tet atmosphere as close as at home. In the evening, in addition to calling to ask about family, we sit together to share family and work stories... creating a cozy atmosphere."
According to the report of Deo Ca Group (contractor for Quang Ngai - Hoai Nhon Expressway), the total construction output of the Quang Ngai - Hoai Nhon Expressway project reached 7,300 billion VND, equivalent to 55% of the project value. These figures not only show the progress of the project but also demonstrate the tireless efforts of the people who worked hard during the Tet holiday.
In terms of construction items, tunnels No. 1 and No. 2 have completed the construction of both tunnel tubes, and are currently implementing the mechanical and electrical and fire protection items. Tunnel No. 3 is 3.2 km long, the largest on the route and the third largest in the country, has dug and reinforced more than 4.8 km, with only a short section remaining to be completed.
Ms. Tran Thi Thanh Xuan - Deputy Director of Communications Department of Deo Ca Group shared that during the Lunar New Year 2025, Deo Ca Group arranged 500 employees to work continuously. Workers will focus on important items such as tunnels and bridges. The Group also organized New Year's Eve celebrations, visited and gave Tet gifts and lucky money to employees who are working day and night at the construction site.

Mr. Khuong Van Cuong - General Director of Deo Ca Group said that at some key expressway projects such as Dong Dang - Tra Linh, Huu Nghi - Chi Lang, Quang Ngai - Hoai Nhon, ... due to the nature of the work and the need to promote progress, construction teams had to be arranged throughout Tet, the Executive Board encouraged officers, engineers and workers to stay and work during Tet to ensure progress milestones according to the set plan.
“The Deo Ca Group’s grassroots union also gave gifts to all staff in the system, each gift worth 500,000 VND. For those who stay to work during Tet, in addition to the prescribed regimes, the Executive Board has directed all projects to prepare carefully and fully for the taste of Tet,” said Mr. Cuong.
On the eve of the Lunar New Year 2025, Ms. Bui Thi Quynh Van - Secretary of the Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee visited the Quang Ngai - Hoai Nhon expressway construction site to encourage and wish a Happy New Year to the cadres, workers and employees working at the construction site. The Secretary of the Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee hopes that Deo Ca Group will pay attention to organizing appropriate Tet activities for workers and employees at the construction site in the spirit of "Tet on the construction site does not lack love at home" as directed by the Prime Minister, ensuring joy, health, and warmth...
