On the afternoon of October 3, speaking with reporters, Chairman of Tu Le Commune People's Committee Hoang Trong Nghia said that as of this afternoon, National Highway 32 through Khau Pha Pass, Tu Le Commune has been cleared.
According to Mr. Nghia, after 2 days of efforts to fix the serious landslide at km269 through Khau Pha Pass, by 9:00 p.m. on October 2, the units had created a roadbed for motorbikes to pass through, and it is expected that by the end of this afternoon, cars could move.

Currently, functional units are mobilizing 2 excavators, 4 cars, and more than 20 workers to install temporary round culverts to fill the ground to ensure traffic in step 1.
The authorities also installed a warning system to ensure traffic safety for motorbikes and pedestrians passing by.
Previously, due to the impact of storm No. 10, a large landslide occurred on National Highway 32, through Tu Le commune.
The landslide scene had a long and 400m high landslide, with rocks and soil flowing into the stream, creating a flash flood, sweeping away about 20m of the road surface.
In particular, this area is mainly hard rock, causing many difficulties in the construction process.

According to a quick report from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Lao Cai province, floods have killed 5 people, 5 people are missing, and 10 people are injured.
The whole province has nearly 9,800 affected houses, more than 3,700 households had to be urgently evacuated. Hundreds of traffic landslides, many power, water, and telecommunications works were severely damaged, with total estimated damage of about 2,750 billion VND.
Initially opening a temporary road on National Highway 32 will help reduce traffic pressure, creating conditions for relief and travel for people and tourists in the context of complicated floods.
