On November 5, according to information from the Land Fund Development Center of Dong Nai province, the progress assigned by the Provincial People's Committee is that by the end of 2025, 80% of the site of the Dau Giay - Tan Phu expressway project must be handed over and the entire project site must be completed in the first quarter of 2026.
Up to now, some assigned units have completed the work of surveying, maping land acquisition, issuing land acquisition notices; The work of counting, confirming land origin, and resettlement is being implemented by the units.
In September 2025, the People's Committee of Dong Nai province announced the plan to implement compensation and site clearance for the Dau Giay - Tan Phu expressway project.
To serve the project construction, Dong Nai province must reclaim an area of nearly 312 hectares of land in 9 communes: Dau Giay, Gia Kiem, Binh Loc, Dinh Quan, Xuan Bac, Tan Phu, Nam Cat Tien, Phu Hoa and Phu Lam.

Previously, on August 19, at Dau Giay intersection (Dau Giay commune), the Truong Hai - Son Hai Traffic Infrastructure Development Construction Joint Venture (Dai Quang Minh Real Estate Investment Joint Stock Company - Son Hai Group Company Limited) started the Dau Giay - Tan Phu Expressway Construction Investment Project (phase 1) under the PPP method.
The project is the first section of the Dau Giay - Lien Khuong expressway, belonging to the group of national key transport infrastructure projects, invested under the PPP (public-private partnership) - BOT (build - operate - transfer) contract with a total investment of about VND 8,496 billion.
The route is more than 60 km long, starting at Dau Giay intersection (Dau Giay commune, Dong Nai province) and ending at Phu Lam commune (Dong Nai province).
The project is designed according to highway standards, with a design speed of 100 km/h, a scale of 4 lanes, a complete roadbed width of 24.75 m with synchronous auxiliary items such as non-stop toll collection system, operating center, lighting system, intelligent traffic monitoring (ITS).
In phase 1, the project is invested with a roadbed width of 17 m, especially at weak soil treatment locations, dug and filled roadbeds, intersection areas, emergency stopping sections and bridge works on the route will be invested according to the complete phase scale with a roadbed width of 24.75 m.
The construction period is expected to be 24 months, completed on August 19, 2027.

When put into operation, the expressway will contribute to completing the road and expressway network according to the plan, creating a breakthrough in traffic connections between Dong Nai, Ho Chi Minh City, the Southeast provinces and the Central Highlands.
The project helps shorten transportation time, reduce the load on National Highway 20, while promoting the effectiveness of highways, beltways, ports and railways.
This is also the premise for completing the Dau Giay - Lien Khuong Expressway (CT.27), promoting socio-economic development, tourism and ensuring security and defense.
