Recorded at mid-February 2025, after 2 years of construction, the dam project to create a landscape of Ha Giang City has gradually emerged. At the construction site, dozens of workers and machinery were mobilized to implement the project.
Currently, items such as foundations and dam bodies have been basically completed. Some abutments of the traffic bridge have been completed. Workers are pumping water to erect scaffolding and constructing the arch bridge.
According to a construction commander, it is the dry season so workers are mobilized to speed up the project's progress. After the Tet holiday, 100% of workers are mobilized to implement the project.
The Ha Giang City Landscape Dam project started construction in February 2023 with a total investment of more than 330 billion VND. The project includes a dam system and a flat valve door to regulate water levels, ensuring the ability to drain floodwater according to the design frequency.
When completed, this project will help form a reservoir with a capacity of 2.2 million m3, stretching 5.9 km along the Lo River. The project also has a 4-lane traffic bridge, 18 m wide, and more than 122 m long.
Mr. Luong Van Doan - Director of the Ha Giang Province Construction Investment Project Management Board (investor) said that up to now, the construction volume of the Ha Giang City Landscape Dam has reached 62%, with a disbursement capital of over 202 billion VND. Strive to complete by the end of 2025.
About 3km from the center of Ha Giang City, the Ha Giang Provincial Sports and Cultural Complex (phase I) has gradually emerged after more than 4 years of construction.
The main item of the project is the complex of a 10,000-seat stadium. Currently, the rough construction of the two stands A and B has been basically completed, the internal and external routes D1, D3, D5 and auxiliary items are being completed.
The Ha Giang Province Sports and Cultural Complex Project (phase 1) started construction in January 2021 with a total investment of nearly 300 billion VND. This is the largest sports and cultural project built in Ha Giang province to date.
According to the Ha Giang Province Construction Investment Project Management Board, the project has completed about 82% of the work volume, with more than 256 billion VND disbursed. The investor is coordinating with contractors to speed up the progress, striving to complete the project by the end of 2025.
The Ha Giang Province Sports and Cultural Complex and the Water Supply Project will become a highlight, enhancing the urban appearance of Ha Giang province, developing tourism and improving people's lives.
