On the afternoon of October 1, informing reporters, Mr. Hoang Duc Tho - Deputy Director of the Cao Bang Province Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board - said that the rescue force had just discovered another body of a victim in the case of a construction officer on the Dong Dang - Tra Linh Expressway being swept away by floodwaters.
Accordingly, the victim was identified as N.V.T (born in 2002, from Ba Vi, Hanoi). The location found in Ban Nen village, the old Thuy Hung commune, now Duc Long commune, is about 2km from the accident site and about 200m from the initial victim's location.
Earlier, on the same morning, the first body, Mr. L.L.A.T (born in 2003, residing in Yen Lac, Na Ri, Thai Nguyen province) was also found.
As Lao Dong reported, on the night of September 29, floodwaters poured in too quickly, sweeping through the Dong Dang - Tra Linh Expressway Project Management Center, leaving 3 people missing.

The identities of the 3 victims were identified as: N.V.T (born in 2002, residing in Ba Vi, Hanoi), D.T.H (born in 1989, residing in Y Yen, Nam Dinh province), L.L.A.T (born in 2003, residing in Yen Lac, Na Ly, Thai Nguyen province). Immediately after the incident (evening of September 29), the Provincial Military Command and the Provincial Police mobilized many forces and vehicles including 3 motor boats, life jackets, life buoys, etc. to organize the search.
Vice Chairman of Cao Bang Provincial People's Committee Hoang Van Thach was present and directed the search.
On the afternoon of September 30, Chairman of the Cao Bang Provincial People's Committee Le Hai Hoa was also present at the scene. Rescue forces are coordinating to search for the body of the remaining victim.
During the 28 - 30 days of September 30, due to the influence of storm No. 10, Cao Bang province experienced heavy to very heavy rain accompanied by tornadoes, floods, inundation and landslides, causing heavy damage to people, property and infrastructure.
According to a quick report from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Cao Bang province (updated to 12:00 on October 1), the whole province has recorded 4 deaths, including a 6-day-old child due to a landslide that collapsed a house, along with many cases of being swept away by floodwaters.
In addition, 3 people are still missing at the Dong Dang - Tra Linh expressway construction site, and the rescue team has searched for 2 people.
Regarding housing, up to 4,140 houses were affected, of which: 146 houses had their roofs blown off by tornadoes, 169 houses had their houses eroded (5 households had to be urgently evacuated), 3,360 houses were flooded, 4 houses were severely damaged and 461 households were isolated. The whole province currently has 13 hamlets isolated due to rising floodwaters and landslides on traffic routes.
Agriculture suffered heavy damage with more than 5,000 hectares of rice, crops and crops flooded and buried. Many educational facilities, agency headquarters, cultural houses and irrigation systems were also damaged.
In particular, 10 schools were seriously affected, including some places where teaching had to be temporarily suspended to ensure the safety of students.
