On the morning of October 1, speaking with Lao Dong reporter, Vice Chairman of Cao Bang Provincial People's Committee Hoang Van Thach said that the rescue force had found the body of a Dong Dang - Tra Linh expressway construction officer swept away by floodwaters.
Accordingly, the victim was identified as Mr. L.L.A.T (born in 2003, residing in Yen Lac, Na Ly, Thai Nguyen province). The location where the victim's body was found was about 1km from the accident area, at Km73 of the Dong Dang - Tra Linh Expressway.

Previously, as Lao Dong reported, on the night of September 29, floodwaters poured in too quickly, sweeping through the area of the Dong Dang - Tra Linh Expressway Project Management Center, leaving 3 people missing.
The identities of the 3 victims were identified as: N.V.T (born in 2002, residing in Ba Vi, Hanoi), D.T.H (born in 1989, residing in Y Yen, Nam Dinh province), L.L.A.T (born in 2003, residing in Yen Lac, Na Ly, Thai Nguyen province). Immediately after the incident (evening of September 29), the Provincial Military Command and the Provincial Police mobilized many forces and vehicles including 3 motor boats, life jackets, life buoys, etc. to organize the search.

Vice Chairman of Cao Bang Provincial People's Committee Hoang Van Thach was present and directed the search.
On the afternoon of September 30, Chairman of the Cao Bang Provincial People's Committee Le Hai Hoa was also present at the scene.
However, rescue work encountered many difficulties due to complex terrain, rising flood waters and continued rain.
Currently, rescue forces are coordinating to search for the bodies of the remaining two victims.

According to a quick report from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Cao Bang province, as of 3:00 p.m. on September 30, the whole province recorded 2 deaths, 2 injuries and 3 missing people.
Regarding housing, 610 houses were damaged and affected (143 houses had their roofs blown off, 80 houses had landslides, 408 houses were flooded and dozens of houses were isolated). 987.482 hectares of crops were damaged, including: 585.345 hectares of rice, 63.57 hectares of corn and 338.567 hectares of other crops.
The whole province has 10 schools affected; traffic recorded nearly 150 landslides and 45 flooded spots, many national and provincial highways were cut off.
The authorities have resolutely deployed response work. The military mobilized 787 officers, soldiers and many vehicles, supporting the evacuation of more than 300 households (including: more than 40 households of the Provincial Military Command; 95 households in Truong Ha area; 52 households in Bao Lac; 110 households in Nguyen Binh; 2 households in Quang Uyen).

The police force mobilized more than 100 officers and soldiers, 112 agency vehicles and hundreds of personal vehicles, organized search and rescue, supported over 500 households, students and teachers to move assets and equipment from flooded areas; ensured food and provisions for over 100 isolated households.
At the same time, participate in overcoming small landslides on the traffic route.
