Quang Binh - The bodies of two sisters swept away by floodwaters while going to see a frog in Tan Hoa commune, Minh Hoa district have been found after 2 days of searching.

On the morning of June 15, the People's Committee of Tan Hoa commune (Minh Hoa district, Quang Binh province) said that the authorities had found the body of the remaining victim in the case of two biological sisters swept away by floodwaters in the early morning of June 13.

The body of Ms. T.T.D (born in 1963), the sister of the two victims, was discovered at around 5am, about 1km from the missing location. The local government is coordinating with the family to organize a funeral according to customs.

Previously, on the afternoon of June 14, the body of her younger brother, Ms. T.T.D (born in 2019), was found. These two biological sisters were victims of the flood when they went to see a frog with another person at around 1:00 a.m. on June 13 in village 3, Tan Hoa commune. The person who was lucky enough to escape and reported the incident to the authorities.

As soon as the information was received, the rescue forces promptly deployed searches along the branches of the stream and the water area where the victim was suspected of being swept away. Due to prolonged heavy rain, deep water and strong currents, the search was difficult.

Also on the afternoon of June 14, in Nhan Trach commune (Bo Trach district), the authorities found the body of the husband in the case of a couple missing while fishing on the Dinh river.

The victim was discovered about 150m from the coast. The wife's body has not yet been found, and the search is still being expanded both on the river and in coastal areas.
