The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee has just issued two decisions approving the regulations and design tasks for the competition for the architectural design of Kinh Duong Vuong intersection, Binh Dien bridge and Binh Thuan intersection.

Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction has a new director after 3 months of merger
On the afternoon of September 30, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Duoc presented the decision to appoint Mr. Tran Quang Lam, member of the City Party Committee, Deputy Director of the Department of Construction, to hold the position of Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction.
Mr. Tran Quang Lam was appointed to replace Mr. Vo Hoang Ngan - who has just been transferred to the position of Director of the Department of Planning and Architecture of Ho Chi Minh City.
Thus, after 3 months since merging the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction with the Department of Construction of Binh Duong province and the Department of Construction of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, this agency has a new director. See more...
Ho Chi Minh City officially re-establishes the Department of Planning and Architecture
On the morning of September 29, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council passed a resolution on the establishment of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Planning and Architecture.
According to the resolution, the Department of Planning and Architecture is a specialized agency under the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, with legal status, its own seal and account. The Department is under the direct direction and management of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, and is also subject to guidance and inspection on expertise and profession from the Ministry of Construction and central ministries and branches.
Before the merger, the Department of Planning and Architecture of Ho Chi Minh City had 8 departments and 4 public service units, with a total of 111 civil servants. At public service units, there are 47 people receiving salaries from the state budget, 43 people who do not receive salaries from the budget, and 20 contract workers.
According to the new structure, the Department of Planning and Architecture of Ho Chi Minh City will organize 6 specialized departments including: Office; Department of General and Digital Technology Application; Department of Inspection and Legal Affairs; General Planning Department; Department of Technical Infrastructure Planning; Department of Regional Planning and Architecture (merged 3 previously affiliated departments). The Department of Education and Training (DET) of Ho Chi Minh City has just sent a document to the People's Committee of Ben Thanh Ward regarding the opinion on the fees collected by the parent-teacher association of Le Ngoc Han Primary School (Ben Thanh Ward).

Heavy rain causes many streets in Ho Chi Minh City to become rivers
On October 3, a heavy rain with strong thunderstorms lasted for 2 hours, turning many gateway routes in the Northwest and North of Ho Chi Minh City into "rivers". Many people traveling through deeply flooded areas struggled to find ways to overcome the rushing water.
The rain was mainly concentrated in areas that were once considered the city's "flooded center" such as District 12 and Go Vap District. After only about 30 minutes, many roads were submerged in water, some places were flooded more than half a meter.
Major roads such as Nguyen Van Qua, Phan Van Hon, Song Hanh (Dong Hung Thuan ward, formerly District 12), Phan Huy Ich, Pham Van Chieu, Nguyen Van Khoi, Le Van Tho (formerly Go Vap district) ... all fell into a state of disorder, hundreds of vehicles stalled in the middle of the road. See more...
