Police officers receiving emotional amnesty hope to rebuild their lives
On May 1, Kenh 7 Prison (under the Department of Police Management of Prisons, Compulsory Education Facilities, kindergartens, Ministry of Public Security), stationed in Kien Giang province, held a ceremony to announce the President's special pardon decision for 58 prisoners serving prison sentences at the unit.
Among those granted amnesty by the President, Mr. L.M.L was moved to share: "This is a precious opportunity for me to rebuild my life. The recent renovation has helped me realize my mistake and appreciate my free life more. I promise to live a purposeful life, without losing confidence that everyone has given me a chance".

Ms. P.T.C.L (residing in Giong Rieng district) - wife of a prisoner who was granted amnesty during this period - emotionally said: "Today, my family is very happy. After many years of separation, now my husband can return on a big holiday, the family is reunited, the children have a father - that is an indescribable happiness. My family would like to thank the State's leniency policy and the staff for educating and supporting my husband during his reform period."
On this special occasion, Canal 7 Prison also presented 15 gifts from the Golden Heart Fund to prisoners with especially difficult family circumstances. The small but meaningful gifts have partly encouraged the spirit, adding confidence to those who are trying to get their salary back.
123 prisoners in Quang Binh receive amnesty on the occasion of April 30 - May 1
Dong Son Prison and Quang Binh Provincial Police Detention Center have announced the amnesty decision for 123 eligible prisoners.
On May 1, Dong Son prison (Ministry of Public Security) held a ceremony to announce the President's amnesty decision for 103 eligible prisoners. These are prisoners who have been reformed well, have a good working and studying process, and are selected in accordance with the provisions of law.

Speaking at the ceremony, Colonel Ho Sy Luu - Warden of Dong Son Prison - said that amnesty not only demonstrates the humane and lenient policies of the Party and State but also motivates prisoners to strive for better reform. The people granted amnesty today have all proven their repentance, remorse and determination to rebuild their lives.
To prepare for community reintegration, in recent times, Dong Son Prison has organized many classes equipping prisoners with life skills, legal knowledge, and citizen education. At the same time, seriously evaluate the reform process every week and every month to serve as a basis for objective and fair amnesty consideration.
Also on May 1, the Quang Binh Provincial Police Detention Center held a ceremony to announce the special pardon decision for 20 prisoners. These are cases that comply with regulations, have a spirit of restoration and meet the prescribed conditions.
54 prisoners of Hai Phong Police Detention Center are pardoned
Pursuant to the Law on special pardon, based on Decision No. 767/QD-CTN dated April 29, 2025 of the President on special pardon in 2025, this time, the Detention Center - Hai Phong City Police has 54 prisoners enjoying leniency policies of the Party and the State.

Speaking at the ceremony, Colonel Bui Trung Thanh - Deputy Director of the City Police - congratulated and encouraged the cases of amnesty this time to return to their localities to quickly reintegrate into the community, participate in vocational training activities, stabilize jobs, and become useful citizens for their families and society.
For prisoners serving sentences who continue to work, reform, and strictly comply with the provisions of the law, rules and regulations of the Detention Center to soon be considered for a reduction in the prison sentence and amnesty in the coming time.
Previously, on the morning of April 30, the Detention Center - City Police held a ceremony to announce the reduction of prison sentence implementation for 47 prisoners.
Special pardon for 20 prisoners at Soc Trang Provincial Police Detention Center
On May 1, Soc Trang Provincial Police held a ceremony to announce the President's amnesty decision in 2025 for 20 prisoners serving sentences at the Provincial Police Detention Center who are eligible for amnesty on this occasion.

At the ceremony, Colonel Phan Van Ung - Deputy Director of Soc Trang Province Police - suggested the provincial police departments work closely with the relevant levels, branches and localities to firmly grasp the number of people who were special amnesty to the locality to have a plan to receive management. Assign responsibilities to each industry and mass organizations to help the special amnesty to have jobs, stabilize their lives and avoid recidivism. For those in extremely difficult circumstances, mobilizing social organizations and unions to pay attention to creating conditions to help loans to do business and stabilize their lives.
After the ceremony, 20 prisoners receiving the amnesty decision were granted ID cards, carried out necessary procedures, and received support according to regulations to return to their relatives and families.
376 prisoners with good reform at Prisons in Binh Thuan are pardoned
376 prisoners at Thu Duc Prison, Huy Khiem Prison and Binh Thuan Provincial Police Detention Center were granted amnesty and released from prison early.
This time, Thu Duc Prison (Ministry of Public Security) located in Ham Tan District, Binh Thuan Province is one of the largest detention facilities in the country, and has announced the decision to pardon 276 prisoners. Of these, 15 prisoners were foreign nationals.

Huy Khiem Prison (Ministry of Public Security) located in Tanh Linh District, Binh Thuan Province announced the decision to release 86 prisoners.
At the same time, the Binh Thuan Provincial Police Detention Center also held a ceremony to announce the President's special pardon decision in 2025 for 14 prisoners.
After announcing the special amnesty decision, the prisons organized special amnesty procedures, funding and new costumes for special amnesty. Earlier, prisoners sent a dispatch to the local police to arrange to support prisoners to take the car to the locality where they reside after the special amnesty and create the most favorable conditions for the reintegration process of the community.
Special pardon for 113 prisoners serving sentences in Ha Tinh
Ha Tinh province has 113 prisoners serving sentences at Xuan Ha Prison and Ha Tinh Provincial Police Detention Center granted amnesty.
Of which, at Xuan Ha Prison (under the Ministry of Public Security) located in Luu Vinh Son commune, Thach Ha district, 89 prisoners were granted amnesty.

At Ha Tinh Police Detention Center (Tran Phu Street, Ha Tinh City), 24 prisoners were granted amnesty.
To help those who have been granted amnesty return to the community soon, Xuan Ha Prison has previously coordinated to organize a program to disseminate the law and provide career counseling to prisoners who were proposed for amnesty in 2025 and prisoners who are about to complete their prison sentences.
Cao Bang amends 17 prisoners, reduces sentences for 5 other prisoners
On May 1, the Detention Center - Cao Bang Provincial Police organized the announcement of the Decision on amnesty and reduction of prison sentence implementation in 2025.

Attending the ceremony were representatives of the People's Court, the Provincial People's Procuracy, the Provincial Police and leaders of the Detention Center.
At the ceremony, the representative of the Detention Center announced the President's Decision on amnesty for 17 prisoners with good reform procedures, strictly complying with internal regulations, clearly demonstrating progress and eligibility. In addition, 5 other prisoners had their sentences reduced, the reduction was from 1 month and 15 days to 3 months.
Ca Mau announces special pardon decision for 98 prisoners
On May 1, at the Ca Mau Provincial Police Detention Center and Cai Tau Prison, located in Khanh An Commune, U Minh District under Department C10, the Ministry of Public Security coordinated with relevant agencies to hold a ceremony to announce the President's amnesty decision in 2025 for 98 prisoners.

Ca Mau Provincial Police have announced the President's special pardon decision for 9 prisoners serving sentences at the Detention Center. These are prisoners with many improvements, good reform awareness, good compliance with the rules and regulations of the Detention Center, active studying, working, ensuring conditions, meeting the standards for amnesty according to regulations.
At Cai Tau Prison, 89 prisoners were granted amnesty decisions by the President.
Previously, Cai Tau Prison and the Provincial Police Detention Center coordinated with the Department of Administrative Management of Social Order to issue ID cards to prisoners eligible for amnesty, helping them to facilitate the settlement of administrative procedures in the locality when they return.
Representatives of the prisoners granted amnesty expressed their joy at receiving the amnesty decision, the leniency policy of the Party and State and promised to return to the community to comply with regulations, work actively, and become useful citizens for their families and society.
Previously, on the afternoon of April 29, in Hanoi, the Office of the President held a press conference to announce the President's Amnesty Decision for 2025.
Decision No. 767/QD-CTN of the President clearly states the amnesty for 8,055 prisoners serving prison sentences and 1 person whose prison sentence is temporarily suspended, who are eligible for amnesty in 2025.
This decision takes effect from May 1, 2025.
