Can Tho City People's Committee has just issued Decision No. 1617/QD-UBND on approving the plan to arrange and handle cars when reorganizing administrative units at all levels and building 2-level local governments.
According to the approved plan, the total number of existing cars of agencies and units in the city is 245 cars. Of which, 3 cars serve the work of titles, 137 cars serve the work of the whole and 105 cars serve the work of specialization.
When establishing a 2-level local government (after the merger), for cars serving the work of titles, serving the common work of departments, branches, public service units at the city level and specialized work of city-level units, agencies, organizations and units will continue to use assets and perform the task of managing assets according to regulations.
For cars serving the general work of commune-level units after the merger, rearrange the existing number of cars of the district level after the end of the administrative unit's operation; transfer from the existing number of cars of the district to the corresponding commune level to ensure that each commune, ward, and commune has at least 01 car for work; the receiving unit will continue to manage and use assets according to current regulations.
Based on the unit's proposal, after the arrangement, the existing vehicles from the district level to the new commune level, there are 01 vehicles transferred from the People's Council and People's Committee Office of O Mon District (old) to the new Tan Loc Ward (belonging to the old Thot Not District) because the People's Council Office and People's Committee of O Mon District proposed not to keep the vehicles again. In addition, there are still Thanh Phu commune (belonging to the old Co Do district) that does not have vehicles; the Department of Finance will balance and regulate cars for this commune after merging the new Can Tho city.
Administrative agencies and units at all levels direct units under their management to urgently implement the approved plan; ensure that authorities at all levels operate smoothly, efficiently, effectively and efficiently in accordance with regulations.
Agencies, organizations and units assigned to manage and use public assets shall review and prepare a dossier proposing to handle cars in accordance with the provisions of the Law on Management and Use of Public Assets to submit to competent authorities for collection in accordance with regulations.
The Department of Finance guides the order and procedures for handing over, receiving, liquidating, and transferring cars for general work of agencies and units in accordance with current regulations.
