For this reason, the leaders of the People's Committee of Dong Hai district, Bac Lieu province (old) have a policy to allow the traditional Ganh Hao market and the commercial center to exist in parallel. This has been agreed by traders.
In 2013, the old Bac Lieu province issued a document directing Dong Hai district to relocate all traders to a commercial center while there were many shortcomings here. The new market is shabby and inconvenient for buying and selling. Traders continue not to enter the shopping mall.
From 2013 to present, Ganh Hao Shopping Center has had almost no business people, many places have seriously degraded.
Currently, the market area in the commercial center of household waste is dumped in many places; some kiosks are open but have no customers.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhung - a trader at Ganh Hao market - said that the shopping mall has a favorable location for buying and selling, but the kiosks are too narrow, the planning is not reasonable.
The leader of Ganh Hao commune, Ca Mau province said that the Commercial Center has not yet promoted its effectiveness, Ganh Hao commune has surveyed the current status, and will soon submit to the competent authority for consideration of converting functions, taking advantage of advantages for development.
