On June 13, 2025, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha signed the Prime Minister's Decisions to recognize 2 districts of Thai Nguyen province as new rural areas.
Accordingly, in Decision No. 1146/QD-TTg, the Prime Minister recognized Dai Tu district as meeting advanced new rural standards in 2024, Decision No. 1147/QD-TTg recognized Phu Luong district as meeting new rural standards in 2024.
Dai Tu district has 25/25 communes meeting new rural standards, of which 16 communes meet advanced new rural standards, 2 communes meet model new rural standards, 100% of towns meet civilized urban standards.
Previously, Dai Tu district was recognized by the Prime Minister as meeting new rural standards in 2023. In 2024, the average income per capita in rural areas of the district will reach 54.32 million VND/person/year.
Meanwhile, in Phu Luong district, after 10 years of implementing the National Target Program on new rural construction, the whole district has 12/12 communes meeting new rural standards, of which 3 communes have met advanced new rural standards and 2 communes have met model new rural standards.
Average income per capita in 2024 will reach 55.65 million VND/person, the rate of poor and near-poor households will decrease to 4.46%. The infrastructure and social system is planned, upgraded, and newly built, basically ensuring synchronization, modernity, and regional and inter-regional connectivity.
To date, 100% of communes in Phu Luong have roads to the commune center asphalted or concreted to meet standards; 94.8% of villages and hamlets have alley and hamlet roads concreted; the inland traffic system is basically hardened, ensuring convenient production and travel services.
