On the afternoon of October 5, Mr. Dang Thanh Binh (48 years old), Head of Hoa Dinh village (Duc Quang commune, Ha Tinh province) - said that after more than 10 days of surgery and treatment at Nghe An Provincial General Hospital 115, he had asked to return home on October 4.
The doctor told me to stay immobile for about 6 to 8 weeks to stabilize the wound after surgery to break my cervical vertebrae, Mr. Binh shared.
According to Mr. Binh, after storm No. 5, the lighting system on the village road in the La Giang dike was damaged. At around 10:00 a.m. on September 23, he and the Party Cell Secretary of Hoa Dinh village went to install and replace the damaged light bulbs.
While raising a staircase to hang a light bulb, unfortunately the concrete light pole broke, causing Mr. Binh to fall all over the concrete road.
Immediately afterwards, the Party Cell Secretary called the staff of Duc Quang Commune Health Station and then called an ambulance to take Mr. Binh to Nghe An General Hospital 115 for treatment.

Through X-rays and examinations, the doctor determined that Mr. Binh had a broken cervical vertebrae, a sliding spine, endocrinal damage, a rough neck injury, damage to the abdomen, lower back and hip pelvis, a broken pelvis, and a closed fracture.
After that, the hospital performed surgery to treat Mr. Binh's broken cervical vertebrae.
The doctor told me that I had to lie motionless for nearly 2 more months, which was extremely inconvenient. Not only is he affected in terms of health and work, but he also causes long-term inconvenience to his relatives, Mr. Binh said tiredly.

Mr. Hoang Xuan Hung - Chairman of Duc Quang Commune People's Committee - said that Mr. Dang Thanh Binh - Head of Hoa Dinh Village was seriously injured while overcoming the consequences of the rain and storm. It is a pity.
After Mr. Binh was injured, the commune leaders also visited and encouraged Mr. Binh to feel secure in his treatment, hoping that he would recover his health soon to return to the work of Village Chief as well as family work.
Mr. Hung also shared his wish that agencies, organizations, unions, and philanthropists when coming to support the recovery of storm consequences in Ha Tinh, would pay attention, support, and encourage Mr. Binh so that he would have more motivation, recover from injuries, and return to his daily work soon.
