On October 8, authorities in Lam Dong continued to handle 2 fishing vessels violating fishing activities.
Previously, on the evening of October 7, during a peak campaign against illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing in Lam Dong waters, the patrol team of Thanh Hai Border Guard Station coordinated with Squadron 2 (Lam Dong Provincial Border Guard) to detect 2 fishing vessels in violation.
At 9:30 p.m., at coordinates 10°56'28'N - 108°14'2'E, the Border Guard Patrol Team discovered and caught red-handed two fishing vessels: Ship BTh 99588 TS captained by Mr. Pham Ba Hien and ship BTh 99248 TS captained by Mr. Huynh Van Tuan Em (also residing in Phu Thuy Ward).

Both ships are exploiting seafood using a double-trailer (trawling) in violation of regulations. "Flying scrapers" are considered a form of exploitation that destroys and seriously destroys aquatic resources.
The Border Guard quickly approached, resolutely requested the two fishing vessels to immediately stop the violation and made a record and requested the two fishing vessels and all crew members and evidence to be brought to Phu Hai port (Phu Thuy ward, Lam Dong) for strict handling according to regulations.
Arresting two ships scratching in the wrong area is a determined and uncompromising act of the Lam Dong Border Guard.
This is not only a law enforcement but also a demonstration of the province's strong commitment to the Government, contributing to joining hands with the whole country to remove the EC yellow card and build a transparent and sustainable fishery. Any act of destroying seafood resources near or far from the shore will be searched and handled.
