As reported by Lao Dong Newspaper, on September 29, the impact of Storm No. 10 caused damage in Xom Dat area, Tien Luong commune (old Phuong Vi commune) causing a banana hole gap of about 0.2ha and a 1.5ha embankment (including a residential road) of 15m and 3m deep.
The incident has completely isolated 68 households and 152 people and the working group of more than 15 people (including the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, 2 Vice Chairmen of the Commune People's Committee, the Standing Committee of the Commune Military, and the mobile militia) who are directing the evacuation of people.
On September 30, 2025, the Provincial People's Committee issued Document No. 5596/UBND-NN10 on urgently directing the handling and overcoming of landslides on the lagoon bank caused by Storm No. 10 in Tien Luong commune.
To ensure the safety of people and property, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dinh Cong Su assigned the People's Committee of Tien Luong commune to specifically report on the functions and tasks of the lagoon bank (irrigation, traffic, aquaculture functions...); scale of lagoon bank works; landslide developments... to report to the Provincial People's Committee no later than October 2, 2025.
Assign the Department of Agriculture and Environment to preside over and coordinate with the Provincial Military Command and the People's Committee of Tien Luong commune to urgently direct and mobilize materials and forces on site to support the overcoming of the above landslide incident; proactively evacuate people to safe places, ensuring absolute safety for people and property (if any).
At the same time, promptly support food and provisions for people in isolated areas, preventing people from going hungry; synthesize and report to the Provincial People's Committee the implementation results before 5:00 p.m. on September 30, 2025. At the same time, continue to thoroughly grasp and strictly implement the instructions of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee on responding to storm No. 10 and floods after the storm.
