The Hanoi People's Committee has just issued an official dispatch on directing the resolution and overcoming the consequences of the house fire at 9/12/17 lane 180 Kim Hoa, Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam ward.
Accordingly, the Chairman of the City People's Committee directed the City Police Director to preside over and coordinate with the Chairman of the Van Mieu Ward People's Committee - Quoc Tu Giam and related units to focus on overcoming the consequences, urgently investigating, clarifying the cause of the fire, clarifying the responsibility of organizations and individuals and handling them according to the provisions of law (if any).
The Department of Health, the Department of Education and Training, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam Ward and related units, organize visits, gatherings, and provide material and spiritual support to the victim's family according to regulations; based on assigned functions and tasks, ensure environmental sanitation in the area where the fire occurred; report to the Chairman of the City People's Committee to direct contents beyond authority.
The Department of Home Affairs shall preside over and support the conditions for organizing attendant funerals for the victims.
The Department of Health shall preside over and coordinate with the Department of Finance and relevant units to urgently advise the City People's Committee on policies to support deceased victims, and report to the City People's Committee before 3:00 p.m. on October 11.

As reported by Lao Dong, the fire at a house at address No. 9, alley 12, lane 17, lane 180 Kim Hoa occurred at around 5am on October 11.
After receiving the report, the authorities dispatched 4 fire trucks and more than 30 officers and soldiers to the scene to quickly organize fire fighting and rescue.
The house is located in a deep alley, about 300m from the main traffic road. As soon as it reached the scene, the fire developed large, engulfing the entire 4-storey house with an attic, with a small frontage of about 25 m2.
After a period of firefighting efforts, by 6am, the fire was controlled and did not spread to surrounding areas. 15 minutes later, the fire was basically completely extinguished.


Through search, rescue, and relief, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police force discovered and coordinated to hand over 5 victims (N.D.L born in 1952; H.T.H born in 1956; N.H.M born in 1982; D.T.S born in 1988; N.M.V born in 2019) who died to the authorities according to regulations.
