As of the evening of July 28, Ho Chi Minh City Police were still handling the scene of the accident between two dump trucks on DT 746 through Thuong Tan Commune, Ho Chi Minh City.
The authorities and local people brought the two drivers trapped in the cabin out.
The deceased victim was identified as driver T.V.T (born in 1982, from An Giang province). The injured person was driver T.Q.H (born in 1996, residing in Dong Nai province).
Initial information, at around 3:00 p.m. the same day, driver T.Q.H was driving a dump truck with a HCMC license plate on DT746 road in the direction from the People's Committee of the old Thuong Tan commune to Thu Bien bridge.
When the vehicle reached the section in Hamlet 1, Thuong Tan Commune, Ho Chi Minh City, it had an accident with another dump truck driven by T.V.T in the opposite direction.
Initially, it was determined that one vehicle had encroached on the left lane and had an accident with the other vehicle. At 7:00 p.m. the same day, the authorities were still removing the two dump trucks that were stuck together.
The police are currently continuing to investigate the accident.
