Flood center area has 15 surplus coffins, refuses to accept more

Dak Lak - Hoa Thinh flood center (Dak Lak) is currently home to 15 coffins donated by benefactors when hearing that many people have died in this locality due to floods.

On the afternoon of November 26, Mr. Ta Tan Cong, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Hoa Thinh Commune (Dak Lak) said that due to the remaining 15 coffins, the People's Committee of the commune is sending them to a nearby pagoda.

"Recently, benefactors heard that many people had died in the commune, so they sent coffins to support burial. However, currently in the commune, only 25 deceased people have been buried, so the number of coffins supported is still 15. Therefore, the People's Committee of the commune decided to send it to Pho Quang pagoda," said Mr. Ta Tan Cong.

The locality no longer needs it, but there are still benefactors who send coffins to support. Venerable Thich Thien Dao, abbot of Phi Lai Pagoda, said that the pagoda is holding 17 coffins brought to Hoa Thinh commune during this flood.

The above coffins were supported by benefactors in Gia Lai to bury the unfortunate victims. However, these coffins were still not used, and the pagoda refused to accept them.

"These days, many people have called the pagoda to send coffins to support the people. However, the pagoda refused and hoped that benefactors, if possible, would support the necessities of blankets, medicine, rice..., Venerable Thich Thien Dao said.
