Heavy rain lasted from 3pm to the night of October 27, causing Hiep Thanh commune (Lam Dong) to be flooded widely, affecting hundreds of households.
Many areas were flooded from 1 to 1.5m deep, houses, properties, household items... of the people were submerged in water and severely damaged.
Along with that, National Highway 20 through the commune was completely cut off. Many residential roads in the commune are deeply flooded and cannot be moved.
In this context, since the afternoon of the same day, military forces, Lam Dong provincial police and police, militia, and youth of Hiep Thanh commune have been present to help people cope with flooding.
Dozens of households with isolated houses have been supported by forces to evacuate to safety.
In addition to houses and properties of dozens of households, water and heavy rain also damaged more than 200 hectares of vegetables and flowers of all kinds.
Currently, heavy rain continues to be complicated. Hundreds of people from many forces are on duty in Hiep Thanh commune, ready to support people in responding.
