Efforts to keep work uninterrupted
In Dakrong commune - a unit established on the basis of merging the three communes of Ta Long, Ba Nang and old Dakrong, each cadre and civil servant promotes a sense of responsibility, not allowing service to the people to be interrupted.
Every morning, Ms. Ho Thi Luu, an officer in charge of Meritorious People, Social Insurance and Health, travels more than 20km of the rugged mountain road to the Administrative Center located in Klu village (Dakrong commune). The workload after the merger has increased significantly, the area is wider, the majority of people are Van Kieu and Pa Co ethnic people and still have difficulty grasping the procedures, but Ms. Luu and her colleagues are still persistent, enthusiastically guiding, creating conditions for all documents to be received and processed according to procedures and on time.
Mr. Le Hoai Phong, Chairman of Dakrong Commune People's Committee, said that in just the first 3 days of July, the commune's administrative center received and processed 39 records. Although there are still some initial difficulties in terms of facilities and technology infrastructure, and the arrangement of cadres is not reasonable, the work in this commune is still going smoothly.
"We are determined not to let people suffer during the transition period. Completing the organizational apparatus and arranging reasonable staff is a key task to maintain smooth operations and best serve the people" - Mr. Phong said.
In Huong Hiep commune, established from the merger of Krong Klang town, Mo O commune and the old Huong Hiep commune, the administrative apparatus also quickly and stably operated. The public administrative service center is conveniently arranged for transportation, easily connecting to residential areas. Thanks to the strong direction and participation of the entire political system, essential procedures from civil status documents, land records, policies to social insurance are all resolved promptly.

Mr. Nguyen Van Dat, Chairman of Huong Hiep Commune People's Committee, said that the commune has promoted the application of information technology, implemented digital transformation in receiving and processing documents to meet the increasing workload. "We always identify that doing our administrative task well is contributing to strengthening people's trust in the grassroots government" - Mr. Dat affirmed.
Prioritizing resources to support mountainous areas
Recognizing the efforts of mountainous communes, Mr. Tran Phong, Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Tri province, emphasized that the arrangement of administrative units is an important step to build a streamlined, effective and efficient apparatus. Especially for new mountainous communes, the province will prioritize resources to support investment in facilities and equipment, promote administrative reform associated with digital transformation, and ensure better service to the people.

Mr. Tran Phong cited that in Dakrong commune, when merging 3 poor communes into 1, cadres had to work at 3 headquarters that did not meet the requirements. However, the apparatus has initially come into good operation. To support communes with difficult conditions such as Dakrong commune, Mr. Tran Phong requested the Department of Finance of Quang Tri province to balance resources to prioritize supporting the construction of headquarters and public housing for mountainous communes and supporting cars in accordance with regulations, prioritizing vehicles with high ground for convenience when entering the area.
"The province will prioritize resources for mountainous communes, especially Dakrong commune, to overcome difficulties" - Mr. Tran Phong said.
