A leader of the People's Committee of Thach Hai commune informed that early this morning (March 14), a group of local fishermen discovered a body of elephant drifting ashore in Nam Hai village, Thach Hai commune.
Immediately after the discovery, people called the local authorities. Through inspection, the whale weighed about 100 kg, was 1.5 m long, and many parts were decomposing.

The local government has coordinated with the people to hold a ceremony and bury the whale's remains according to local customs, while also ensuring environmental hygiene.
