On January 18, according to information from the People's Committee of Nghi Loc district (Nghe An province), a traffic accident had just occurred on the North-South expressway.
At around 5am this morning (January 18), a container truck was traveling on the highway in the direction of Hanoi - Nghe An. When exiting the N5 intersection of the Dien Chau - Bai Vot highway (in Nghi Loc district, Nghe An province), the truck suddenly crashed straight into the toll booth at the N5 intersection of the Dien Chau - Bai Vot highway.
At the scene, the toll station system was damaged. The container truck overturned in the middle of the road. The accident injured a toll station employee and he was taken to the hospital by local people for emergency treatment.
After the accident occurred, Phuc Thanh Hung Joint Stock Company (the investor) coordinated with the toll collection unit and functional forces on the route to come to the scene to clarify the incident, and at the same time organized remote traffic diversion to avoid traffic congestion.
Due to a container truck blocking the road and a damaged toll collection system, the operator temporarily closed branch N1 of the N5 intersection (direction Dien Chau - Nghi Phuong).
Vehicles will temporarily circulate down to the QL46B intersection. At the same time, announcements will be made on the remote LED board system to let vehicles know and have appropriate routes to avoid traffic jams.
