On September 9, the Highway Traffic Police Team No. 4 (Traffic Police Department) said that it had handled many cases of motorbikes violating traffic laws on the Vung Ang - Bung; Bung - Van Ninh; Van Ninh - Cam Lo expressway.
At 1:06 p.m. on August 24, at Km 645+550 of the Bung - Van Ninh route, the traffic police discovered Mr. N.H.H (Quang Tri) driving a motorbike with license plate 73F1-180.xx entering the highway in violation of regulations. Then, at 2:44 p.m. on September 5, at Km 619 of the expressway from Vung Ang to Cam Lo (North - South direction), Mr. H.N.T (Quang Tri) was driving a motorbike with license plate 73F1-307.xx without a helmet.
Both violators were fined 5 million VND per case and had their vehicles impounded for 7 days.
According to the Highway Traffic Police Team No. 4, in addition to motorbikes entering the highway, there is also a situation where children climb across the median strip, people or foreigners do not clearly understand the regulations and have committed dangerous acts on the road.
The unit has coordinated with local police and authorities to step up propaganda and reminders to raise awareness of law compliance and ensure traffic safety on the expressway.
