In the late afternoon of February 26, in an exchange with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, a representative of the leadership of Dong Tien Ward People's Committee, Thanh Hoa province confirmed that a truck fire had just occurred on the expressway passing through the area.
The fire occurred at about 6 pm on the same day, when the truck (unclear license plate) was traveling on the highway and carrying many motorbikes on the truck bed. When it reached Dong Tien ward, the truck suddenly caught fire fiercely.
Immediately after receiving the information, the locality sent officials to the scene, coordinated with functional forces to organize rescue and firefighting" - a representative of Dong Tien Ward People's Committee informed.
According to witnesses, the fire fortunately did not cause any casualties. However, the truck and many motorbikes on the truck bed were heavily damaged.
