After reporting on the situation of online lottery and casino advertisements appearing on stone benches in parks in Dong Hoi City, local authorities quickly took action and deleted all content.
On April 4, speaking with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Tran Trong Nghia - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ly Ward (Dong Hoi City, Quang Binh Province) said that immediately after receiving information from the press, the local government directed the authorities to conduct an inspection and handle the matter.
"We have deleted all advertising content related to online houses and cassava printed on nearly 20 stone benches at Tay Huu Nghi residential park" - Mr. Nghia informed.
Previously, at this park, words like S... World... appeared clearly on the back of public stone benches, causing people to be upset and concerned about the negative impact on young people as well as the community in general.
At the same time, at the intersection between Huu Nghi and Tran Hung Dao streets (Nam Ly ward, Dong Hoi city), where similar advertising lines appeared such as "O... - Today...", the authorities promptly deleted all of them.
Mr. Tran Trong Nghia added that in the coming time, the ward will increase patrolling and control in public areas, especially at night, to promptly detect and handle illegal printing and promotion acts. At the same time, the locality also mobilizes people to coordinate in monitoring and promptly reporting if similar contents appear again.
As reported by Lao Dong Newspaper, many stone benches in parks in Dong Hoi City (Quang Binh) are printed with advertisements for online houses and cassava with content such as "S... - The world..." or "O... - Today...".
People are concerned that this will negatively affect the community, especially the young. Local authorities confirmed that the situation had occurred before and was often secretly printed at night.
