Images of motorbike taxi drivers and shippers using their phones while driving, speeding, running red lights or going the wrong way, carrying bulky goods, covering license plates... are no longer rare.
Notably, according to a survey conducted by reporters in Hanoi, the uniforms of technology-based ride-hailing companies, such as Grab, Be, etc., are currently worn by most motorbike taxi drivers. Even if you are not a partner of the ride-hailing companies, you can easily buy uniforms anywhere, from social networks to roadside cafes, near bus stations, or clothing stores, such as on Le Duan Street (Dong Da, Hanoi).
Many people even consider the above uniforms as a "talisman" to fool the authorities, because they think the authorities rarely check technology motorbike taxi drivers.
“This thinking is completely wrong. Any person who drives a vehicle and violates the provisions of the law will be strictly punished, without exception. For cases where they are partners of technology car companies, we also send notices to the driver management company to request additional measures, even permanently blocking the account if there are repeated violations,” Captain Nguyen Huy Hiep, Head of Special Task Force No. 8 (Hanoi City Police), shared.
According to Captain Nguyen Huy Hiep, most technology motorbike taxi drivers or shippers have sufficient knowledge of the Road Traffic Law, clearly knowing prohibited behaviors such as going against traffic signals, not obeying traffic lights, signs... Therefore, instead of giving many excuses when violating, we must understand that driving safely and in accordance with the law is good for ourselves and those around us.
