Lao Cai - Prolonged heavy rain has caused subsidence in some points on National Highway 4D through Sa Pa, posing a potential safety risk.

On May 11, information from Sa Pa Ward Police, heavy rain lasting from May 9 to 11 caused landslides and subsidence in many areas in Sa Pa ward, posing a potential risk of unsafety for people and tourists.

Faced with the complicated developments of the weather, Sa Pa Ward Police urgently deployed forces to inspect and review key points in the area.

The Order Police Team coordinated with the Regional Police Team and Traffic Police Team No. 1 to stretch ropes and place warning signs in the landslide area of Km98 National Highway 4D in O Quy Ho 1 residential group and the Lai Chau bypass to ensure traffic safety and prevent accidents.

Functional forces also guide people and tourists to move safely through dangerous areas, limiting gatherings or stopping at locations with landslide risk.
