On the afternoon of May 21, Viet Thao Nhien Company Limited (Loc Son Industrial Park, Bao Loc City) officially exported the first batch of Cascara tea bags filtered from coffee fruit peels to the Japanese market.
This is the first shipment in a 5-year contract signed by the company with a Japanese partner to be included in the supermarket system in the land of the rising sun.

This batch of goods is packaged in a container with a total weight of 2 tons of Cascara tea with traditional flavors (all coffee shells) and cinnamon, ginger, mint flavors (pre- sticky rice) without any food additives.
According to Mr. Nguyen Tuan Anh - Director of Viet Thao Nhien Company Limited, up to this point, the company is the first unit in Lam Dong province in particular and the whole country in general to export Cascara tea from coffee fruit peels to the Japanese market.
The product is produced from Arabica coffee peel ingredients from Da Sa area (Lac Duong district) and Dak Nong province. Tea products have a light, sweet taste, rich in antioxidants.
Mr. Nguyen Tuan Anh said that to achieve today's results, the company has spent nearly 12 years researching coffee peel tea through the fermentation process.
The company owns a modern factory that meets international standards and cooperates in building high-quality coffee raw material areas in Lam Dong and Dak Nong.

"We apply exclusive enzyme - probiotic technology to extract active ingredients from coffee peels. According to the contract with the partner, in the first year, 12 containers (24 tons of Cascara tea) will be supplied to the Japanese market, with output gradually increasing in the following years," said Mr. Tuan Anh.
In the coming time, the company will continue to export other coffee peel products to the Japanese market such as bottled Cascara juice, Cascara grinding powder and Cascara extract powder.
These are products contracted by Japanese partners for use in kombucha beverages, food and high-end cosmetic production.
In addition, the company is also providing raw materials from coffee fruit peels with an output of about 1,000 tons of finished products for domestic beverage production and processing partners.
To ensure an source of export goods, the company is committed to accompanying farmers in exploiting agricultural byproducts from high-quality coffee shells.
