On June 20, the Cang Gianh Border Guard Station (Quang Binh Border Guard) said that it had just coordinated with the NA-90532 TS fishing boat and its family to receive and transfer to the emergency room a fisherman in distress while fishing at sea.
At about 7:50 p.m. on June 19, Mr. Bui Van Nhac - captain of the NA-90532 TS ship (from Quynh Nghia commune, Quynh Luu district, Nghe An province) informed about the hand of crew member Ho Van Dung (born in 1969, from the same hometown) crushed and injured his left flank while working at sea, about 70 nautical miles southeast of Gianh port.
As soon as the information was received, the Cang Gianh Border Guard Station established a working group of 3 officers and 1 military doctor, preparing enough medicine and emergency equipment. While waiting for the ship to arrive, the unit maintained communication and instructed the crew members on first aid steps via walkie-talkie.
At 4:30 a.m. on June 20, the boat docked at the Gianh River fishing port. Immediately afterwards, border guards coordinated with doctors and relatives to take crew member Ho Van Dung to the Vietnam - Cuba Friendship Hospital for emergency treatment.
The victim's health is currently being monitored and treated.
