According to the bulletin of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, from the evening of May 28 to May 29, on the Thao River, the Lo River, and small rivers in the Northern region and Thanh Hoa, there is a possibility of 01 flood, with a flood amplitude on the rivers from 2 - 5m. During this flood, flood peaks on small rivers and upstream rivers are likely to rise to alert level 1 and above alert level 1.
To proactively respond to the developments and impacts of floods, in a document sent to the People's Committees of provinces and cities in the Northern region and Thanh Hoa, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment recommends closely monitoring forecasts, warnings of floods and water level developments on rivers; timely information and warnings to local authorities and people to proactively prevent them.
Direct and organize inspections of production activities in riverbed and riverbank areas; notify cage owners, investors with constructions built along the river, owners of water transport vehicles, and mineral exploitation vessels to know information about floods to proactively take measures to ensure safety for people, cages, vehicles, equipment and works.
Responding to the low pressure area in the East Sea
On the same day, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment also sent a document to the People's Committees of coastal provinces from Binh Dinh to Ninh Thuan on responding to the low pressure area in the East Sea.
According to the bulletin of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, a low pressure area has formed in the East Sea, at 7:00 a.m. on May 28, the low pressure area was located at about 11.0 - 12.0 degrees North latitude, 110.0 - 112.0 degrees East longitude. The sea area from Binh Dinh to Ninh Thuan has strong gusts of wind of level 6-7, waves over 2.0m high.
To proactively respond to low pressure areas in the East Sea, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment recommends that provinces closely monitor warning bulletins, forecasts and developments of low pressure areas; notify captains, owners of vehicles and boats operating at sea to proactively prevent and ensure the safety of people and property; maintain communication to promptly handle possible bad situations.
