The 2026 Passport has a new look with squared-off lines, typical of an off-road SUV. Compared to the previous generation, the new Passport has a 2.75-inch longer wheelbase and is 1 inch wider, providing more interior space. Notable design highlights include flared fenders, a prominent hood, and bold "Passport" lettering on the front and rear doors.
The 2026 Passport is all about off-road capability. The TrailSport trim comes with a specially tuned suspension for rough terrain, 31-inch all-terrain tires, skid plates, and recovery points, all designed to deliver performance on rough terrain.
The skid plates on the TrailSport and TrailSport Elite can support the full weight of the vehicle, not just for decoration as before. The vehicle's 4-wheel drive system has also been refined with its own logic system and cameras to help observe the position of the wheels on the trail.
The new platform of the Passport 2026 was designed from the ground up to deliver true off-road capability. Thanks to improvements in chassis stiffness, the Passport 2026 has a 72% increase in front lateral rigidity and a 50% increase in rear torsional rigidity, making it more stable and efficient in harsh terrain.
In addition to its outstanding performance, the 2026 Passport also impresses with its modern and comfortable interior. TrailSport models are equipped with new “stabilizer” seats, a 10.2-inch digital instrument panel that displays terrain parameters such as slope, elevation and roll, and a 12.3-inch central screen that supports Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Google Assistant.
However, in terms of engine, the 2026 Passport still uses the same 3.5-liter V6 engine as previous models, with 285 horsepower and 355 Nm of torque, slightly stronger than the 2025 version.
