The family of Ms. Ly Thi Tuyen, Khon Se village, San Vien commune, Loc Binh district, who was injured and had her health affected by over 30%, received support of 15 million VND.
In Hanoi, on August 16, 2024, representatives of the Motor Vehicle Insurance Fund (Vietnam Insurance Association) presented humanitarian support to the families of victims who died in traffic accidents.
It is known that in December 2023, at Km 160_289 National Highway 1 from Thanh Tri Bridge to Bac Giang, victim T.H.C was driving a motorbike with license plate 29M1-73.117 and collided with a motorbike (vehicle and driver unknown), causing the victim to suffer severe brain injury and death.
On March 30, 2024, the Investigation Police Agency - Long Bien District Police (Hanoi) issued Notice No. 2354/TB-CQDT regarding not prosecuting a criminal case related to the above accident.
Therefore, victim T.H.C is eligible for humanitarian support (the vehicle causing the accident cannot be identified) from the Motor Vehicle Insurance Fund according to the provisions of Decree No. 67/2023/ND-CP of the Government dated September 6, 2023 of the Government regulating compulsory insurance, civil liability of motor vehicle owners, compulsory fire and explosion insurance, and compulsory insurance in construction investment activities.
Representatives of the Motor Vehicle Insurance Fund presented humanitarian aid of 45 million VND to the family of victim T.H.C.
In another incident in Quang Tri, on August 13, the leader of Bao Viet Quang Tri Company, representing the Motor Vehicle Insurance Fund, presented humanitarian support of 15 million VND to the victim H.T.T.N in Thanh An commune, Cam Lo district, Quang Tri province.
It is known that more than a year ago, the victim was driving a motorbike on Hung Vuong Street (Dong Ha City, Quang Tri) when he was suddenly hit by a motorbike driven by a young man who was speeding. The accident left the victim seriously injured, with an open fracture of his left leg, and he still has to use crutches to support himself.
The vehicle the young man was driving that caused the accident was not covered by compulsory civil liability insurance for motor vehicle owners, so the victim was not covered by insurance for compensation under the insurance policy.
According to the Vietnam Insurance Association, humanitarian support activities are a humane policy that goes hand in hand with the compulsory civil liability insurance policy for motor vehicle owners. This is also a regular activity of the Motor Vehicle Insurance Fund, which has practical significance in contributing to sharing the pain and encouraging the spirit of the families of unfortunate victims of traffic accidents.
