According to Owlet, the company's new model is a combination of a scooter and a bicycle. The first highlight of the Owlet One is its unique and outstanding design. The vehicle is made of aerospace aluminum, weighing 38 kg. The LED headlights are shaped like a pair of eyes, the taillights have integrated brake and turn signal functions. The vehicle has a small screen with convenient control buttons located on the left handlebar, and the spring saddle can be adjusted in height.
The Owlet One is equipped with a 3.5-inch front fork and a pneumatic suspension system with large 20-inch tires. The bike also has a Shimano hydraulic disc brake system and GPS navigation capabilities. Other impressive features of the Owlet One are the ability to adjust the wheelbase to provide 2 riding modes depending on the situation and customer preferences. However, Owlet has not yet provided information on how to switch from one mode to another.
The Owlet One has a 750W hub motor that can reach a top speed of 48 km/h. However, the bike has no pedals, and the rider must rely entirely on the accelerator to move. The company said the decision to remove the pedals was inspired by everyday reality, where users mostly rely on the engine to move. The new model can also be folded, making it easy for users to carry it into elevators or put it in the trunk of a car for easy transportation.
The removable battery provides a range of 40-50 miles per charge, depending on the rider’s weight and the top speed they choose. The battery is a 56V/30Ah 1,500Wh unit made from hidden LG cells. The Owlet One costs $4,000, but customers can pre-order it for $3,000.
