According to information from the Vietnam Register, according to Decree 166/2024/ND-CP, effective from January 1, 2025, cases of cars with registration warnings include:
Administrative violations in the field of road traffic: Vehicles that violate but have not paid the fine will be refused inspection.
Forged vehicle documents: If forged documents are detected, the vehicle inspection agency will warn and notify the local police for handling.
Discrepancies between registration certificate and actual vehicle: Cases such as paint color different from registration, changes in vehicle structure without updating will be warned.
Registration certificate not changed after renovation: Vehicles that have been renovated but have not updated their registration certificate will be refused inspection.
Inspection certificate or inspection stamp is lost or revoked: The vehicle in this case will be warned on the system.
The Vietnam Register said that vehicles with warnings will be refused inspection until the owner corrects the related violations.
The warning will be removed as soon as the test results or evidence of action taken to correct the warning are available.
